Welcome to the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
O'Neill was founded in 1972 as a response to the needs and problems of modern society—needs that were not being addressed by other more traditional schools such as business, arts and sciences, or political science. Our scope is wide, and we address issues including public finance, nonprofit management, public management, environmental management and science, policy analysis, healthcare management and policy, law, human resourses, and arts administration.
The O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs is a multidisciplinary division of Indiana University. The school is organized as a Bloomington-Indianapolis core campus professional school, committed to teaching, research, and service. Because of our broad program base, public and private organizations, as well as all levels of government can benefit from the knowledge and expertise of O'Neill faculty, staff, and students.
